Vin is a Partner at Radical Ventures, where he invests in companies working on AI, Deeptech, Applications and Infrastructure at both Early and Growth.
Prior to joining Radical, Vin was a Partner at Two Sigma Ventures, where he led the firm’s AI and Deeptech investment efforts. At Two Sigma Ventures, Vin backed Etched, Inception Labs, Zeromatter, SDF (acquired by dbt), Iambic Therapeutics, Cerby, Distributional, and Objective (acquired by Upwork).
Prior to investing, Vin spent a decade at startups, large companies, and academia working as an AI researcher and founding engineer. Vin researched and built early LLM products at Google, Apple, and Amazon and was a founding engineer at B2B SaaS and Infrastructure startups spun out of MIT (Celect acq. Nike) and Stanford (Clockwork Systems).
Vin earned his PhD and MS degrees in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University, where he conducted research on Language Models and authored peer-reviewed research in all of the top AI/NLP conferences (NeurIPS, ICLR, ICML, ACL, EMNLP). He received his BS degree with Honors in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Maryland.
