Gaurav Ranganath
Gaurav Ranganath is an AI Product Engineer at Radical Ventures, where he designs AI-native products and agentic workflows that improve how the firm operates, makes decisions, and supports founders. He also runs Vikasa, a non-profit venture advisory for early-stage Canadian founders, and advises builders at NEXT Canada.
Drawing on his background as a two-time founder and early employee across frontier AI startups, Gaurav previously founded planni, a financial forecasting platform backed by NEXT Canada, and launched Depactor, an NLP-driven cybersecurity startup supported by University of Toronto grant funding.
Prior to joining Radical Ventures, Gaurav developed applied AI systems from the ground up. As a Product Engineer at StratumAI, he rebuilt the core platform to power real-time mining intelligence. As a founding engineer at Martian, he engineered core systems for their multi-model router. His work also extends to research, having co-authored RouterBench, a widely cited benchmark and dataset for evaluating multi-LLM routing systems presented at Agentic Markets | ICML’24.
Gaurav holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Computer Engineering from the University of Toronto. A leader in early technical communities, he received the IEEE Larry K. Wilson Regional Student Activities Award for his impact in the space.
